WELCOME AT
AARTSEN ELECTRONICS
for design and consultancy
Welcome!
Aartsen Electronics is a small company that develops electronics. Whether you are planning to develop a new product with some electronics inside or just want to talk to an experienced technician to explore possibilities then you have come to the right place. Aartsen Electronics has recently moved its laboratory from the Netherlands to Sweden. Here I continue to serve my customers ranging from private persons, small businesses to large international corporations. In my lab I have measurement equipment and tools for small scale manufacturing and testing of prototypes.

PORTFOLIO
Miniaturisation of electronics
-
Aartsen Electronics is specialised in tailor made solutions where specific requirements such as ultra low power consumption and dimensions can be taken into account.
QMPPT
The goal of this project was to create the best maximum power point battery charger on the market. The product is aimed at mobile use such as a boat or a bicycle where it may be subjected to severe conditions. The charger has multiple channels. Power sources may be solar panels or small wind turbines.
Temperature & levelcontroller
Canon
This controller is used in the laboratoria of Canon Production Printing Netherlands where state of art industrial printers are being developed . The device accuratly controls the liquid level and temperature of inks during the printing process.
Wireless sensors
Bosch-VDT
Aartsen Electronics developed this wireless sensor for Bosch-Transmission systems. This sensor can be placed inside a combustion engine to measure strain on the mechanical parts while being subjected to high temperatures and mechanical stress. Because the system is wireless measurements could be done in rotating parts of the motor were this was not possible before.

Tony
-
TONY is a development of Aartsen Electronics that enables accurate and reliable position measurement using ultrasonic sound. Within buildings this technique is the most reliable and accurate method currently available. Aartsen improved the technique using digital signal processing for centimeter accurate positioning in 3D. The picture shows an ultrasonic transponder in the form of a wrist band to locate people in for instance nursing homes.
EM Surveyer
ECO Inspections b.v.
This instrument is developed to locate damage in underground fuel tanks and piping using electro-magnetic fields. This instrument was completely custom developed for a company that does periodic testing at petrol stations.
Shop counter interface
Pessers b.v.
An owner of several butcher shops cleverly combined his a 'take-a-number' system with a monitor that also showed advertisements. The system was based on a standard pc and had to be operated using standard mouse and keyboard which is not very practical and hygienic. Aartsen realised an interface that emulates a standard mouse clicks using easy to operate push-buttons that were mounted under the counter.
ABOUT ME
My name is Herman Aartsen and I am founder and owner of Aartsen Electronics. In 1988 I graduated on the polytech college in applied physics. Later on I specialized in the field of electronics and software engineering. Product-development is my passion and in 1994 I saw chance to develop and produce an innovative communication aid for speech impaired people. This product was succesfully exported to several European countries.
After working at TNO (Dutch institute of applied physics) for 7 years I decided to start again as an independent electronics designer in 2010. My clients are now very diverse but always have in common that they are working on interesting and innovative products.
